Sign up in the comments for the book you would like to reserve to review for the upcoming JJL Love Affair with Books!

Here is what you do:

  1. One reviewer per book, check the list below to see if the book you would like to share has been claimed yet. Our only rule: we are hoping to hear from independent reviewers, i.e. authors cannot review their own book. (This will help authors learn too!) With aloha and respect to the book authors, reviewers cannot post anonymously.
  2. In the comments, please enter the Book Title, and the author's name. If you have it would be very helpful if you could add the ISBN number at the back of the book too (not necessary though).
  3. Remember you will be posting your review here on Joyful Jubilant Learning.com! When you post your comment claiming your book here, be sure you use the email address you want us to send your Guest Author invitation to (It will not be visible on the blog if you enter a url to be linked to your name instead - if you do not have one, enter www.joyfuljubilantlearning.com and your email address will be concealed).
  4. Check back here to see the date you have been assigned for your review; your draft must be completed 48 hours in advance of that date, for a 1:00am PT posting time.

Keep reading! There are a wealth of wonderful books waiting for you to turn their page for inspired learning!

I'd love to review Love is the Killer app by Tim Sanders

Be Great
Benjamin

Great choice Benjamin - love that book! You got it :-)

I can't get away from the development of the leader's character. In the latest Harvard Business Review, Bill George's 2003 book, "Authentic Leadership: Rediscovering the Secrets to Creating Lasting Value" is featured. As the book is four years old, its principles are certainly for today.
ISBN: 0-7879-6913-3. If OK, I would like to review this for JJL.

Thank you Dean, we'll be looking forward to your review! I am also going to look up that HBR article you mention.

I've been chompin' at the bit for this.

I choose "Two Weeks to a Breakthrough: How to Zoom Toward Your Goal in 14 Days or Less" by Lisa Haneberg, ISBN 0787984825.

I would like Feb 26 as my day.

OK, chompin' a little too much at the bit, I guess. How about I take March 6 instead!

Happy to switch and give you March 2nd if you can't wait to share the goodness Dwayne :-)
March 6th is a special day for me ... my daughter's birthday.

Whatever works best for you; we're thrilled you'll be a reviewer!

Rosa - Eerie! March 6th is a special day for me too - for exactly the same reason! It's my daughter's birthday also...

I'm challenged to join in with a review of Do Less, Achieve More by Chin-Ning Chu. It may be 9 years old, but new for me.ISBN 0-06-098875-4

Is it possible to earmark either the 15th or 16th as my day please?

Correction to GRUB - It was written by Anna Lappe AND Bryant Terry

Let me jump in with Your Brain on Music by Daniel Levitin. The 7th looks open but any day is okay by me.

That's cool Karen! We'll have some cake and ice cream together that day with our daughters (celebrating and relaxing while Dwayne fields comments here!)

Thank you for the correction Mary, and thank you Steve, for your flexibility, you are always the gentleman!

I'm on my third listen of the fascinating audio book, "How to Connect in Business in 90 Seconds or Less," by Nicholas Boothman. March 19th looks good to me but I'm flexible.

John

Hi Rosa,
I would love to review Daniel Goleman's Social Intelligence. Later in March would be good. Let me know if this works.
David

Rosa - I will review The Zen of Groups. You can plug me in anywhere you like. Ok?

I'll review The Omnivore's Dilemma by Michael Pollan. It's not a biz book, but I hope that's okay (I'm learning a ton from this book). Plug me in where it works best--I'll be ready. :-)

Hi Rosa
I'm interested in reviewing Jon Kabat-Zinn's Wherever You Go There You Are. another older one but one i'm getting a lot from.

I will review "One" by Lance Secretan. The last half of March would be preferred.

ISBN 0-9733115-5-X

Thank you everyone for your enthusiastic and early sign-ups! What a magnificent community of readers we have; the list of book titles we are coming up with is so enticing.

I have sent out the guest author invites to all of you up to this, my most recent comment, so be sure they are not unseen in any spam folders.

If I figure this out right, we still have room for a dozen more guest authors here, so keep those sign-ups coming!

Hi Rosa,
I plan to review Marcus Buckingham's upcoming new book, Go Put Your Strengths to Work. (ISBN-10: 0743261674)

Scheduled release date is March 6, so I would like to claim the latest date possible for the post, March 31.

Great line-up so far! I can't wait to read about all this excellent learning.

Oooh Blaine, how did I miss the news of that new MB book?!? In your good mana'o, the review should be dynamite.

Dr. Stephanie Burns has a new book called Move Closer Stay Longer. It's a book about strategies for overcoming the fears that keep us from learning and doing new things. Any date that's left is fine for me!

Thank you for signing up Beth! I have you slotted for March 13th.

Looking forward to your review; I remember delving in pretty deeply to Dr. Burns writings on change about year back. She is that author who makes you think.

Wow...22 comments. This is going to be a great series of posts. Can't wait to read 'em all!

If there's still room, I'd love to review Jacqueline Carey's two-volume series, The Sundering. (Banewreaker and Godslayer are the two titles.) They are works of fiction, in the fantasy genre, with incredible depth. I'd love the chance to introduce more people to this author and to open a conversation regarding the ideas presented in the books.

I'd like to review The Audacity of Hope by Barack Obama.
