35 Books, 24 Reviewers, Countless Learning
A BIG mahalo (thank you!) to all who have participated in this year’s A Love Affair with Books, the 3rd annual, and here on Joyful Jubilant Learning for the first time. Well over 300 comments, trackbacks and related links came in over the course of our forum this past month, and our book-shopping lists grew substantially!
Here is a comprehensive index that we can all continuously refer to going forward. Then, scroll to the bottom of the post for some words on how A Love Affair with Books keeps on giving, 70+

How does A Love Affair with Books keep on giving? ... 70+
With your reading, and your learning. There is one other way too ... Dave Rothacker calls it “adding value.”
Last year, seventy-two books were purchased by Say Leadership Coaching per recommendations given by the guest reviewers in the 2nd Annual Love Affair with Books held on the Talking Story blog: They were donated to a university library in Hawai‘i in the name of the Ho‘ohana Community of readers.
This year, SLC will do it again; I will purchase at least seventy books, double the number reviewed in our ALAWB this year, and donate them to a learning library here in Hawai‘i. I will add a comment here with details when the books have been delivered. My challenge is for the Ho‘ohana Community to match or beat my donation cumulatively: Let’s see if we can track it here in these comments.
You may want to simply match your own purchase made per these recommendations, and do a personal donation of a book, two, or three – every one counts toward our total!
Let’s make a difference through the wonder of reading; help us promote learning through a growing Love Affair with Books.
Keep reading and keep sharing,

What would be the best way to donate? Through PayPal or some other online means? Or can we write a check?

Aloha Tim, that's very generous of you! I haven't set that up because I encourage everyone to do their own programs to contribute books to learning in their own communities - not just as I'm doing in Hawaii.
In the spirit of full disclosure for our readers, SLC does sponsor this blog, and therefore any Amazon Associates revenue we receive when you purchase books via the booklist to the left will fund our literacy donations too. Therefore, that's one way to donate to the cause - use those links to buy the books now one your wishlist thanks to our fabulous reviewers!

Aloha all,
At teachingwithaloha.org Dean and I are encouraging teachers to participate in our JJL goal in this way:
“70+” Championing Literacy as we Teach and Coach
We seem to be having some trackback issues (at our place, not here) so we invite you to take the name link in this comment to read our post’s challenge!

One of my favorite charitable organizations is "Reading is Fundamental", you can find more about it and what is does to foster reading amongst children at their web site
http://www.rif.org/
I will help literacy in two ways, one with purchase through the links Rosa mentioned and with a contribution to RIF.

I am enthralled! Thanks to all the reviewers for their time and thoughts on each of the titles selected. Great ideas and pointers to new inspiration! Count me in for the next one, for sure! (maybe with such a response you'll decide to do it more frequently!).
