Learning to Give, and Learning to Receive
Give me your quick, top of mind response:
When you think of December, what do you think of first?
I did my own straw poll yesterday, asking family, friends and a few of my neighbors the question, and for most their answer was some version of “Already?!? Oh dear, how many more shopping days to Christmas, and how many more paychecks?”
Yes dear Ebenezer, it is time to open your wallet. But surely, there is much more than the Scrooge-counts of your pennies saved for this season, isn’t there?
Well of course there is.
December is glittery golden, rich with tradition, flush with culture and history, and resplendent in its call for “Good tidings to all” and “Peace on Earth and Goodwill to all Men.” It is a time for faith and family, snow angels and mistletoe kissing, and so much more than what may be lovingly wrapped in big boxes under your Christmas trees —right?
For our December on Joyful Jubilant Learning, our authors will weigh in on Learning to GIVE and Learning to RECEIVE.
Put any thoughts of crass commercialism aside; there is generosity in giving and grace in receiving, and that is just the beginning of the lessons we can learn.
December IS a month of JOY, and I can hardly wait to read what our authors may have in store for us. Learn with us and scoop up your share of jubilancy (yes, I made the word up! Santa likes it...)
We invite you to join us too.
